In this lesson we have explored a number of issues related to the concept of disability:

Disability as a Characteristic- A person's disability is just one of his/her unique characteristics.
Disability and the Environment- Minimizing barriers in the environment, minimizes the impact of a disability-related impairment.
Disability is Natural- Disability is a naturally occurring aspect of living and many of us will experience a disability at some point in our life.
